The New York Public Library’s Alternative Press and Zine Collection has worked to preserve alternative press and artwork which captures the “personal expression and social justice activism” from the late 1800s through present day.

The library is exhibiting contemporary materials, such as artwork generated through the Occupy movement in the exhibit Protests in Print. The works will be exhibited through January 18, 2017 in the DeWitt Wallace Periodical Room.
