Sharecroppers

Walker Evans and Ben Shahn produced photography during the Great Depression, as part of the government’s Federal One Project. This series of photographs were taken by the men in Arkansas and Alabama between 1935 – 1936.

The images are a part of the New York Public Library’s Digital Collections.
